A Travellers Guide to Joshua Tree

Close to the Colorado and Mojave Deserts and overlooking Coachella Valley is Joshua Tree, a stunning national park dotted with wild west villages, rock gardens and cactus fields.

Where to Stay

To watch the sunset and stargaze, theres nothing better than staying in an airstream. I found this one via AirBnb and it was one of my favourite places to stay in California! With super friendly and helpful hosts, you can't go wrong.

Explore Pioneertown

Built in the 1940s as a Wild West movie, now a bizarre sort of “old western Disneyland.” Don’t miss the bowling alley, reconstructed jail, bathhouse, bank, realistic dummies, fake crows, and dynamite props!

Hiking and Rock Climbing

The park has many trails and routes for those who love a day hiking. Just make sure to pack plenty of water and suncream, plus make sure you have the right footwear.

Dine at Pappy and Harriets - Live Music!

A world famous 'watering hole'. Well known for live music, great food and drinks and a landmark for annual festival events.

Relax and Rejuvenate

Theres nothing like escaping the noise of the real world and getting back to nature. Joshua Tree is the ultimate place for escaping our busy lives and taking some time out.

Fill your days and nights with hiking, picnics, watching the sunset with a drink, bbq's and stargazing!
