Morally, cruelty free make-up brands should always come out on top. Who wants a beauty product that's been dripped into rabbits eyes, scrubbed into mouse's skin or tested for irritability on baby monkeys??

So the Winter months are upon us, the darker evenings are drawing in and your body's needing a good pamper; here are the top beauty brands to keep you in top condition this festive season, without costing nature.

1. Tarte Cosmetics - Rainforest of The Sea or Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation

2. Aveda - Damage Remedy Shampoo and Conditioner

Throughout this season of pampering, gift giving and indulgence, I hope there's a little more thought when purchasing beauty products, as it's easy to see there's still so many amazing brands out there - big names, all kinds of products, at all price ranges - which are contributing to a kinder beauty industry and fighting against animal testing.

Animal testing and cruelty free products should be given the limelight and stronger support for their ethics behind their products. Constantly, you hear the big corporations like Procter&Gamble, L'Oreal and Johnson&Johnson buying out all the smaller brands, adding to their profit over ethics umbrella. This is something that needs to be sorted, and thankfully with brands like The Body Shop and Holland&Barrett, word is being spread and awareness is increasing on these sort of issues, I hope for a kinder and more responsible future for the beauty industry.
